Adjustments

     The care that you receive in this office is the highest quality care available.  The chiropractic adjustments that you receive are designed to improve your ability to heal and increase your ability to deal with physical, emotional and chemical stresses.  This will enable you to heal faster and more effectively.  Your symptoms will go away, but not because someone hid or masked them.  They will go away because your body is better able to repair the causes of your symptoms.  

-During each visit you will be: 

  1. Meticulously checked for disturbances in your nervous system.
  2. Adjusted (only if you need to be).
  3. Rechecked to make sure that the problem was corrected.  

Reevaluations-You will also be reexamined periodically to be sure you are making expected improvements and to adjust your schedule accordingly.

Insurance Coverage

     Our insurance policy is simple and it works with almost any company that pays for chiropractic care.  Since our focus is on overall wellness care, many insurance companies will not pay for the full amount of care that you may require.  To make sure the entire amount of care is affordable we keep our prices low by keeping our overhead low.  We provide you with the forms and proper codes to submit to your insurance company and if they cover chiropractic care they will reimburse you directly. This will also ensure that you never receive a surprise bill and that care is affordable for not only you but for your entire family. By charging affordable prices we help you stay in charge of how much care you and your family receive and we keep your health care decisions between you and the doctor. 
     It is understandable that anyone who contributes to an insurance plan will want to use as many benefits as possible and by billing the way we do it is now possible to use your insurance for the number of visits that it will cover and still get the entire amount of care you need. Many insurance companies cover some amount of chiropractic care, but unfortunately some don’t and the ones that do rarely cover what the patient actually needs. Insurance also doesn’t cover a multitude of procedures that contribute to good health. If you joined a gym or decided to begin eating organic food or even more vegetables your insurance would obviously not pay for your gym membership or grocery bill even though these things will absolutely improve your health. To really improve your health you must make lifestyle changes.  Chiropractic care can be an integral part of this lifestyle change, and although insurance may supplement some of those changes it will never and should never pay for all of them.

Most Advanced Technology Available:

  The Tytron C-3000
Your nervous system will be checked and monitored using the latest technology.
The Tytron C-3000 is the latest development in paraspinal infrared thermographic scanners and represents the most technologically advanced chiropractic instrumentation available. This is used as an objective analysis of a patient's neurophysiology. This instrument is used for initial evaluation and reevaluation to monitor the patient's progress. Reliability and accuracy of this instrument is second to none. The C-3000 is used to assist chiropractors in the analysis and correction of vertebral subluxations (disturbances in the nervous system that severely inhibit a persons ability to experience and express life.)

This instrument measures skin temperatures on either side of the spine to see if messages are getting through the nervous system clearly.

The results of the scan are printed out in an easy to read format.   If the results show that there are imbalances, which indicate disturbances in the nervous system, the doctor will explain the significance of the findings to each individual.

  Insight Millennium Subluxation Station
The Insight Millennium Subluxation Station is the latest development in computerized subluxation detection.  The tests preformed on this instrument are used as an objective analysis of a patient's nervous system to help determine appropriate care. This instrument is used for initial evaluation and reevaluation to monitor the patient's progress. The Insight Millennium Subluxation Station is used as a tool to analyze vertebral subluxations (disturbances in the nervous system that severely inhibit a persons ability to experience and express life). The tests that this machine performs include:
1. Thermography- Spinal temperature scan to determine imbalances in the nervous system (similar to the Tytron C-3000)
2. Surface Electromyography- Measuring muscle balance around the spine to locate disturbances in the nervous system
3. Inclinometry- A tool used to measure range of motion in the spine

All functions of this diagnostic machine are totally painless and emit no radiation so they are safe for anyone of any age.


The s-EMG sensors measure and record muscle activity on either side of the spine to detect nerve interference.

Works Published:
     

To date Dr. Cohn has published three papers in scientific, peer-reviewed journals and is working on two others.  All three papers have covered the topic of the safety of chiropractic and the specific effects of chiropractic adjustments on the immune system.  Two of these papers are still in press and are due to be published in fall of 2003.  At the Princeton Chiropractic Wellness Center you will receive the highest quality care backed by the most current research.  To view Dr. Cohn's papers which were published last year visit www.JVSR.com  where the paper is available on line.

Bio:

     

Dr. Ari Cohn graduated from the College of New Jersey in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to attend the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, a four year chiropractic program with a very strong focus on the sciences. University of Bridgeport based its chiropractic curriculum on Yale School of Medicine's curriculum. Dr. Cohn graduated Cum Laude from the The University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in May of 2000. In addition to receiving an excellent education in school Dr. Cohn was involved in many extracurricular chiropractic activities. He attended and continues to attend multiple technique and philosophy seminars, studying with technique experts around the world, attended two chiropractic mission trips and he participated in numerous other chiropractic studies. Since graduating from chiropractic school Dr. Cohn has set up and run a practice in London and has published four papers in scientific, peer-reviewed journals on the topics of the safety of chiropractic and the effects of chiropractic adjustments on the immune system. Dr. Cohn currently runs The Princeton Chiropractic Wellness Center.
